Ways to pay your M&S Credit Card

Direct Debit

Setting up a Direct Debit is a convenient and easy way to pay your M&S Credit Card account automatically each month. You can make the minimum payment, a fixed amount or the full statement balance - just choose the option which suits you best.

You can set up a Direct Debit through Internet Banking, using the instructions below, or call us on 0345 900 0900 .

A step by step guide to setting up a Direct Debit:

  1. Once you’ve logged into Internet Banking, select ‘M&S Credit Card’ in the ‘My Accounts’ section.
  2. Under ‘Make a Payment’ select ‘Set up a Direct Debit’.
  3. Here you can choose to set up the Direct Debit online or you can download a paper mandate to return by post.
  4. If you choose to set up the Direct Debit online, all you need to do is complete the online form and click 'Submit'.

Please ensure you continue to make payments until you receive confirmation of your first Direct Debit date. A fixed repayment will be for an amount set by you and can be changed at any time. If the minimum payment due is greater than this amount, we will claim the full minimum payment. If your statement balance is lower than your fixed amount, we will only claim the balance on your statement.

Other ways to pay

Online with a debit card via Internet Banking

If you're registered for Internet Banking simply sign in as normal and select 'Make a Payment' from the left hand menu. Then follow the instructions to enter your payment amount and debit card details.

Register for Internet Banking here and you can view your latest credit card transactions, statements or make a payment.

When making a payment it’ll take up to 2 working days to reach your account.

Make a payment using your bank’s online service

You should quote our bank details, sort code 40-12-57 and account number 59001115, with your 16-digit M&S Credit Card number as a reference.

Your payment will reach your account within approximately two hours.

In store at M&S

You can pay by debit card at till points in most M&S stores. Simply present your M&S Credit Card, along with your payment, to the store advisor and the payment will reach your account in 2 working days.

Send a cheque

Please send your cheque, together with your payment slip, in the pre-addressed envelope we provided with your paper statement. Please make your cheque payable to M&S Bank and include your account number on the reverse. If you don't have a pre-addressed envelope, please send it to: M&S Bank, PO Box 77, Harlow CM20 9BX.

Please don't send post-dated cheques as we can't accept them. It’ll take up to 6 working days to appear on your account.

Visit any bank

Simply fill out the payment slip and take it with your statement to any bank displaying the MasterCard or Visa sign. Your statement will be stamped as proof of payment but please note that a charge may be made if payment is not made at a branch of your own bank.

It’ll take up to 5 working days for your payment to reach your account.

Fixed payment/standing order

You can set up a fixed payment or standing order with your bank.

As a reference quote your account number (without the spaces), then quote the M&S Bank account number 59001115 and sort code 40-12-57.

Your payment will reach your account within approximately two hours.

Using your bank’s telephone banking

Call your bank and as a reference quote your account number (without the spaces) found on the front of your statement or card number as requested by your bank, then quote the M&S Bank account number 59001115 and sort code 40-12-57.

Your payment will reach your account within approximately two hours.

Pay at the Post Office

You can pay your credit card bill at a post office. Just give them your completed slip (from the bottom of your paper statement) with your payment. They may charge a fee.

It’ll take up to 7 working days for payment to clear.
