Want to renew, change or cancel your policy or need to make a claim? Here’s how to get in touch with us.

Servicing your policy online

You can manage many parts of your policy online. This includes adding a driver, changing your address or viewing your policy documents.

To register all you need is the email address you gave us when you took out your policy and your policy number.

Please be aware, you need to call us to make a claim.

Renew your policy – 0800 107 1828

We’ll send you a reminder before your current policy expires. This will explain what you need to do to renew your car insurance with M&S Bank for another year. In most cases we’ll renew your cover automatically, unless you tell us not to. If you need to change your policy before you renew it, our renewals team will be pleased to help.

Make a claim – 0344 412 2160

If you need to make a claim please do call us as soon as possible. Our UK Claims team is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. You’ll be allocated your own personal claims manager who will guide you through the process and ensure everything runs smoothly. Please have your policy number to hand when you call.

Are you buying a new car? Do you want to add a named driver to your policy? To make changes to your cover or cancel your policy, please call our Customer Services team. Again, please ensure you have your policy details to hand.

I’m worried that I might not be able to continue to make my payments – can you help?

Yes, we’re here to help. We’re aware that many things can impact people’s livelihoods and cause financial hardship. If you think you may be unable to maintain your regular policy payments, please contact us as soon as possible on 0344 871 2349. Our opening hours are 8am-8pm Monday to Friday and 8am-6pm Saturday.

We have specialists on hand who can discuss your individual circumstances and agree how we can help with your financial situation. There are several ways we may be able to help including; moving your payment dates, agreeing partial payments or payment holidays in the short term and removing any fees applied to your policy.

Don’t wait until you miss a payment as we can help you in advance. We ask that you don’t cancel your payments or direct debits as this can result in your policy being cancelled and we don’t want you to be left uninsured, please get in touch with us in the first instance.

If you have broken down in the UK and have breakdown option on your policy then call the number above with your policy number and vehicle registration to hand.

If you’ve broken down in Europe the telephone numbers are:

  • Calling from Europe 0800 290 112*
  • Calling from a French landline (freephone) 00 33 472 43 42 55
  • Calling from the Republic of Ireland (freephone) 1 800 535 005

*Please replace the 00 at the beginning with 810 when in Belarus or Russia
