The Historical Yield (for the Worldwide Managed Fund, UK Selection Portfolio and UK 100 Companies Fund) is the net distribution amount declared over the past twelve months as a percentage of the mid-market value of the fund (as at the date of calculation).

The Distribution Yield (for the High Income Fund) is the amount that we estimate the Fund will distribute over the next twelve months as a percentage of the mid-market value of the fund (as at the date of calculation).

Things you need to know

The value of investments (and any income received from them) can fall as well as rise and you may not get back what you invested. For the Worldwide Managed Fund and High Income Fund this can also happen as a result of exchange rate fluctuations as they have exposure to overseas markets. Most investments should be considered as a medium to long term commitment, meaning you should be prepared to hold them for at least 5 years. Past performance is no guarantee of future performance.

High Income Fund

The fund objective is to provide a high level of income and it currently invests in corporate and government bonds which may be both investment grade (low-risk) and sub investment grade (high-risk rated by Standard and Poor's). Bonds are fixed-term loans to a government or company that pay a rate of interest for the duration of the loan. The interest is passed on to you, the investor, in the form of a quarterly payment. You can choose between taking a regular quarterly income or reinvesting any income you earn back into the fund.

The Manager operates a single pricing methodology for this Fund and may charge a Dilution Levy, to protect your investment from the costs of buying or selling investments that result from investors buying or selling Units. The amount of such Dilution Levy is calculated by reference to the estimated costs of dealing in the underlying investments, including any dealing spreads, broker commissions, transfer taxes and stamp duty. UK 100 Companies Fund

The fund objective is to provide long term capital growth by matching the performance of the FTSE® 100 Index as closely as practically possible. It invests in established UK companies such as M&S, BP and Vodafone.

Launched – May 1995

Although your investment is spread across the 100 companies that make up the FTSE® 100 Index, some companies and/or sectors can grow so large that they make up a large percentage of the index which increases risk.

The fund will not track the FTSE® 100 Index exactly. In other words there will be a difference between the performance of the fund and the FTSE® 100 Index.
