The M&S Chargecard, M&S Budgetcard and M&S Personal Reserve accounts have now closed

As of 22 July the M&S Chargecard, M&S Budgetcard and M&S Personal Reserve accounts have closed. We want to give our customers a great experience and that means focusing our efforts to make sure we create the very best financial products and services. The types of credit our customers are using is evolving, and the number of customers using their account has significantly reduced.

If you are an M&S Chargecard or M&S Budgetcard customer you won't be able to use your card for any spend in M&S stores, through marksandspencer.com and M&S app. If you are an M&S Personal Reserve customer you won't be able to withdraw funds after this date.

FAQs

Can I apply for an M&S Credit Card?

If you've already got an M&S Credit Card, we won't be able to open a new credit card account for you. Otherwise, you can apply online for an M&S Credit Card. We have a range of cards to suit individual needs.

To apply for an M&S Credit Card, you must:

  • be over 18 years old & live in the UK
  • have an annual income/pension of at least £6,800
  • not be registered as bankrupt, have any County Court Judgments or defaults and are up to date on any current credit agreements
  • not have an M&S Credit Card already in your name and not have been declined for an M&S Credit Card within the last 30 days and
  • be happy for us to undertake a credit search and credit scoring

As a responsible lender we have to undertake checks before we offer credit to anybody. Credit is subject to status. Terms and conditions apply.

Yes, fees will continue to be payable as described in our terms and conditions.
