What are digital statements?

They're electronic versions of your monthly M&S Credit Card or Everyday Saving Accounts statements, which are stored in your app or Internet Banking account. They' re set up and ready for you to view online, whenever you want.

How to view your statements using our mobile banking app

First, sign into the M&S Banking App...

Then, on the balances screen select the account you would like to view.

Tap ‘View statements.’

Now select which statement you’d like to view.

If you’d like to save your statement, tap the download icon in the top right of the screen.

Please note, if you have an Android device, and your download doesn’t appear...

  1. Sign in to the M&S Banking App
  2. From the ‘Balances’ screen, select your account(s)
  3. Tap the ‘View Statements’ link to view/download your statement

If you've not downloaded the M&S Banking App you'll need to first register for Internet Banking to set up your digital username and password. You'll then use this information to set up the app. If you've already got these you just need to head to the App Store or Google Play.

Viewing your statements in Internet Banking

If you'd prefer to view your statements in Internet Banking simply:

  1. Sign into Internet Banking
  2. Select 'View statements' under 'Quick links'
  3. Select the account you want to see your statement for from the drop-down menu (credit card or Everyday Savings Account)
  4. Select the statement date you want to view and it will automatically download as a PDF

Make a statement, go paperless

By switching to digital statements, our customers have helped us to reduce the amount of paper we send out. Once we've made the change:

  • We'll send you an email when there's a new statement ready to view
  • We'll also send you a helpful reminder about 10 days before a payment is due to be made (unless you have already made a payment or have a Direct Debit set up)

Go paperless in our app

If you'd prefer to go paperless in our app simply:

  1. Sign into the app
  2. Tap the profile icon in the top right hand corner of the ‘Balances’ screen
  3. Select ‘Communication preferences’
  4. Select ‘Statement preferences’
  5. Toggle the paper statements to ‘off’

Frequently asked questions

How do I download my digital statements?

To download your statements in the M&S Banking App:

  1. On the balances screen, tap the account you want to view the statements of
  2. Next, tap 'View statements' and then tap on the month you want to view. The statement will pop up on the screen. If you have an Android device and your statement doesn't appear, please check your downloads
  3. Finally, tap on the download button in the top right corner of the screen. Here you'll be able to save your statement to your device's files. You can also send or print your statement from here too

To download your statements in Internet Banking:

  1. On the homepage, select 'View statements' under 'Quick links'
  2. Next, click on which credit card or Everyday Savings account you want to see the statement of from the drop-down menu and select the month you want to view
  3. A pop up should appear in the top or bottom of your browser asking if you want download your statement and where you want to save it to. You may also be given the option to open your statement in Adobe Acrobat Reader

If you want to print your statement, this can be done while viewing or after downloading your statement.

How do I make my digital statements bigger so I can read them more clearly?

How you enlarge your statements may differ depending on what device you are using to read your digital statement, but we can offer some general advice.

If you are viewing your statements on a device with a touchscreen like a tablet or mobile phone:

  • You can place two fingers on the screen and pinch inwards and outwards to increase or decrease to the desired magnification. On most devices, you can also double tap to zoom in.

If you are using a computer to view your statements:

  • You will need to download your statement first. Your statement will open in Adobe Acrobat Reader.
  • In Adobe Acrobat Reader, there will be plus and minus buttons you can click on to zoon in and out of the statement. You can also change the magnification by adjusting the “zoom to” percentage.

Why can't I view my statements in the app?

Please make sure you’re using the most recent version of our app that your device can support.

Find out which devices the M&S Banking App is compatible with. We recommend you use the most up to date operating system your device can support.

I have turned my paper statements off but am still receiving them?

If you have a ‘paperless’ preference, you may still receive a paper statement if:

  • We don’t hold a valid email address for you so we have been unable to send you a notification to advise your statement is ready to view. Please check your contact details are up to date in the banking app or Internet Banking.
  • There has been a restriction placed on your account.

I've forgotten my details to sign into the M&S Banking App or Internet Banking?

If you've forgotten your username, password, or M&S PASS PIN visit our forgotten details page. If you're a customer but not yet registered for digital banking, you'll need to register first.

How many months' worth of statements can I view online?

You can find up to 72 months' worth of statements available in the app and Internet Banking.
