Set up your Direct Debit
Setting up a Direct Debit is a convenient and easy way to pay your M&S Credit Card account automatically each month. You can make the minimum payment, a fixed amount or the full statement balance - just choose the option which suits you best.
You can set up a Direct Debit through Internet Banking, using the instructions below, or complete our Direct Debit form.Direct Debit set up form
A step by step guide to setting up a Direct Debit:
- Once you’ve logged into Internet Banking, select ‘M&S Credit Card’ in the ‘My Accounts’ section.
- Under ‘Make a Payment’ select ‘Set up a Direct Debit’.
- Here you can choose to set up the Direct Debit online or you can download a paper mandate to return by post.
- If you choose to set up the Direct Debit online, all you need to do is complete the online form and click 'Submit'.
If you have not yet registered for Internet Banking, please click on the button below.Sign in | Register
Please ensure you continue to make payments until you receive confirmation of your first Direct Debit date. A fixed repayment will be for an amount set by you and can be changed at any time. If the minimum payment due is greater than this amount, we will claim the full minimum payment. If your statement balance is lower than your fixed amount, we will only claim the balance on your statement.
Amend your Direct Debit
Credit card customers now have the option to change their Direct Debit from full to minimum payment.
To request this, you can fill out our online form. You will receive an automated email to confirm it’s been received and we will be in touch as soon as possible to let you know when your Direct Debit has been changed.
- If you have a Direct Debit set up to take your minimum payment, the payment shown on your statement (or your remaining balance if lower) will be collected automatically. If you’ve made any extra payments, we’ll assume you want to pay more than the minimum amount (or any fixed amount you’ve asked us to collect) and won’t adjust your Direct Debit.
- If you only make the minimum payment each month, it will take you longer and cost you more to clear your balance.
