Launch of M&S Current Account with no monthly fee.
2012
M&S Money becomes M&S Bank and opens its first branch in Marble Arch.
Launch of M&S Premium Current Accounts.
2010
M&S celebrates 25 years of financial services.
M&S Money introduces the HSBC World Selection Portfolios.
2009
Launch of M&S Premium Club and M&S Everyday Savings Account.
2007
Launch of M&S Ethical Fund and Fixed Rate Savings.
2004
Marks & Spencer sells M&S Money to HSBC, one of the world's largest banking and financial services organisations. M&S Bank is run as a joint venture arrangement between Marks & Spencer and HSBC.
Launch of M&S Cash ISA and Car Insurance.
2003
M&S Financial Services changes its trading name to M&S Money.
The &MORE combined M&S Credit Card and loyalty scheme is launched (largest ever launch in Europe).
2002
Marks and Spencer Financial Services Limited becomes Marks & Spencer Financial Services plc.
Launch of M&S Travel Insurance and Pet Insurance.
2001
Launch of stakeholder pensions.

Launch of M&S Home and Contents Insurance and Car Buying Plan.

Launch of M&S ISA.
1991
Interest-free loans are offered to customers purchasing furniture in M&S stores.
1989
Launch of M&S Personal Loans.
1988
St. Michael Financial Services Limited changes its name to Marks and Spencer Financial Services Limited. Marks and Spencer Unit Trust Management Limited is created offering unit trust funds.
1985
St Michael Financial Services is launched in Chester, recruiting 80 staff. The M&S Chargecard is launched.
