How to unlock your credit card PIN

If you enter your credit card PIN incorrectly three times at either a till point or an ATM (cash machine), we’ll lock your PIN to protect you, just in case it’s someone else using your card.

If you know your PIN, you can unlock this at any UK ATM by following the simple instructions below.

1. Insert your card into the ATM.
2. Enter your PIN.
3. Select the 'PIN Services' option from the menu.
4. Select 'Unlock PIN'.

If your PIN is locked, you may still be able to use contactless for a certain number of transactions. After the limit has been reached, you'll need to unlock your PIN using the steps above and then make a payment using your card with the PIN.

Retrieve your credit card PIN in an instant, a handy feature in case you ever forget it.

1. Simply sign into the app, select 'Cards', 'More’ and then 'View card PIN’.
2. You'll then be asked to confirm it's you using your fingerprint, face or M&S PASS PIN. Your PIN will then appear for a limited amount of time.

It's that simple, never forget your PIN again.
