Some leased electric car batteries are covered as part of an agreement with the battery lender meaning that it doesn’t need to be covered by your car insurance too. If your leased battery degrades, has a fault or suffers accidental damage, the lender may be the one who offers a replacement instead of your car insurance provider. Check the terms and conditions of your agreement with the battery lender to see what’s covered.
